By the Tenth Anniversary of Frank Nelson Doubleday's Publishing Company, Doubleday, Page, and Co., it was experiencing growing pains. Where would it be possible to relocate the company so it could continue to grow and be close to New York City? The location chosen was a young and growing village located twenty miles east of Manhattan. Thus, a long relationship would be formed with Garden City and The Country Life Press.
